The event takes place underneath the amazing fall colours of the Northumberland Forest. The Course is a fun trail setting with uneven ground and rolling hills. The 5K race is a double loop of 2.5K course. Poison Ivy is present off the set trail, but if you stay on the trail you are fine. Participants must be able to complete the assigned distance for their race.
The Gobbler races and The Kids’ Turkey Trot race are chip timed.

The 5Km route is just the 2.5Km route done twice. I know it reads as 2.38Km, but it was very overcast and the tree cover messes with the GPS signal. Trust me, the course is measured by a trundle wheel. What a fun place to run, even in the rain.
Click on the title in the map  below and check out the route.

Bib #s will be given out at the event on Thanksgiving Monday starting at 8:30 am.

Add some extra fun by showing off your inner turkey and dressing up in costume or by wearing some festive additions to your race gear. Hey you might want to test drive your Halloween costume at the race.
A prize will be given out for best costume.

Dogs are not permitted on the trails during the running events, but leashed dogs are always welcome to join the party in the start/finish field area.

During the running events strollers are asked to stay off the trails.  The 2.5K Run/Walk would work well for carrying wee ones in a carrier.
